Our experience with Yelp...
Currently we have 30+ reviews on Yelp, Many of which are 5 STAR!! . If you're familiar with Yelp, you know they have recommended reviews that are factored in by an alleged "automated system". Soon after we received our 1st FIVE STAR review we received a call about paid advertising, we declined. Then after about every 2-3 FIVE STAR review, we'd get another call and another call from Yelp, still we would decline. After our 9th FIVE STAR review, we received a ONE STAR rating from a competing linestanding company!!! Oddly enough, this damaging "review" which claims we're "pushy and rude" is the only YELP recommends. In any event, here are some of our earlier FIVE STAR reviews that were initially approved then gradually disapproved. then approved again...
They were absolutely FANTASTIC! I used them for the Cronut pickup and delivery and they delivered exactly when, and where, they said they would. They were courteous, professional, and I will be using them again soon!!
Warren of SOLD really came through! After a frustrating experience with TaskRabbit trying to find someone to stand in line for me "last minute" to pick up a ticket at UCB Theater, I called SOLD and spoke with Robert. Robert was friendly and professional and explained that SOLD could handle my late-in-the-day request and for a reasonable price. Shortly after we spoke, Robert called to let me know that Warren would be taking care of my time-sensitive request. Later, Warren called me to let me know that he was in line at the appointed time, which I found very reassuring. Further, at a time when I was not reachable by phone, Warren had to make an unexpected but key "judgement call" on my behalf, and he exercised excellent judgement (really saving the day, so to speak). If I ever need a similar service again, I will definitely call SOLD and request Warren or Robert.
Great working with these guys. Very professional. There is no reason to be skeptical about their service. Although they probably did not have to be on the line as early as I asked (3 am) to deliver the service they were even five minutes early. Saved me over eight hours of standing in line and the hassle of having to wake up so early to do so. Would definitely work with again.
In addition to being such a cool, convenient service, this business was soooo reliable and extremely professional. Not only did they wait in line and get the deal done ( a pair of kicks that were in high demand) but they also kept me abreast at all times and above all sent the sneakers to me via over-night courier to me in Miami .
I have dealt with a lot of different and larger " service- oriented companies" and despite this one being smaller, this one was sooooo much more dependable and accessible ! No stress, no headaches, no excuses. Just a pleasure !! A rare find in a commerce that too often forgets about customer service . Already referred friends and will definitely use again. The only thing that I was upset with is that I didn't know about them years ago!!
Robert handled a very tricky line standing assignment with great discretion. With Robert's help I was able to make a dream come true for my daughter - nothing is more important. He stood line for us over night, was reliable and punctual. I would give him 10 Stars. Thank you SOLD, Inc. for your indispensable help, keep up the good work.
Over the past 2 weeks, I've used SOLD INC for two jobs. One was to buy the Mario Kart 8 LE bundle ($80) at Nintendo's World Store in Manhattan on May 29th. This required a two hour wait + 1 hour for check out time. The second one was for a trade event in Times Square. This one required a 4 hour wait time + 2.5 hrs to exchange items. Both jobs went swimmingly. For the first job, Robert (the owner) was my line sitter. For the second one, he worked in tandem with other another person.
Find the company through a random google search. Unlike people from NYC, I'd never heard of line sitters ( well outside Black Friday or iPhone launches). So I was somewhat skeptical on how this worked. Nor was I sure if it was an option for those who lived outside NYC. I live in Atlanta. But due to my overwhelming curiosity (plus positive Yelp reviewers and an article profiling SOLD INC from Rack NY's website) I reached out to the company anyway.
Robert got back to me within 24 hrs. Gave me a reasonable quote and I sent a payment via Paypal. The first job was pretty simple. Go to a store, wait, and buy 1 item. Since he did a good job with that one, I set up another job almost immediately. Was given another quote and sent again payment via Paypal.
The second job was a little more complex. This one required me to ship a rather expensive item to him. An item he would take a limited time only promo event and exchange it for another item. He pulled off this job like a true pro.
After both jobs were finished, he shipped my items via FedEx. This was by my request. As I have a Fedex account and wanted all shipping charges billed to my account. Anyhow, I got everything 4 days later exactly as I specified.
Overall, I was impressed by how fast Robert responded back to me, how timely he arrived to events, his ability to source valuable info while at the event (like his number placement in line, the time the first person in line got there, when wristbands will be handled out, estimated wait time, and so on) , and his commitment to sending relevant status updates as they happen.
After seeing the eBay prices for Mario Kart 8 LE on eBay, I'm glad I took a chance on SOLD inc. Using this company was far cheaper than buying it off eBay or getting a plane ticket to NYC. I'll definitely plan on using his service more in the future.
Great service provided by this company. Robert is very professional and he really pulled through. He has gained my trust especially since I overpaid him and he returned some of the money to me on paypal. These guys waited overnight for me to get into the big game! Also, I had one privacy concern that I didn't want shared with others, so Robert agreed not to post a picture that would expose my privacy and I really thank him for that. I will definitely use this service again many times in the future!

I used them for the Diptyque candle sale which is one of the craziest sale with huge line in New York. I was skeptical at first and was wondering if my guy would show up on time. Well he showed up.... EARLY.
They are nice, professional guys. You paypal a deposit and give them cash when you show up to trade the spot.
Don't want to wait out in the snow in 25 degrees weather, well SOLD will do it for you, and MORE. Being there early for any sale is a MUST since you want all the best stuff. Give them a chance, you will be very happy with the result.
The best part about this, they are affordable. I will use them for SNL or maybe when the next iPhone comes out.
I have now used Sold Inc. a couple times, each with great results. I've used their services to deliver a cronut to a business contact and to get a player's autograph at the Super Bowl Boulevard. The price for each was very reasonable and the service flawless. Great communication, very personable and timely deliver. Fully intend to use going forward
